Maressa Brennan is a member of the Portfolio Strategy team at the Dept of Energy’s Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations. Her areas of focus include the design of the Regional Clean Hydrogen Demand-side Initiative, she is the lead author of the Chemicals & Refining Pathway to Commercial Liftoff report and she works on financial ecosystem engagement for the team. Prior to joining DOE, Maressa was a Director of Innovative Finance at the Milken Institute, where she contributed to the research, development, execution, and follow-up of the Institute’s Financial Innovations Labs, which address market failures and funding gaps within social or environmental issues. She also led the Institute’s environmental sustainability content and programming. Before joining the Milken Institute, Maressa worked at Mark Asset Management, a boutique hedge fund in New York, and Russell Investments on the hedge fund research team.
