Hema Prapoo is Microsoft’s Worldwide Oil & Gas Leader driving digitalization, decarbonization and new energy diversification with the use of AI and other digital technologies. Hema is a thought leader in strategy development, commercial execution and building strong partnerships with senior leaders in the industry. Prior to moving to high-tech, Hema spent almost two decades in the upstream oil and gas industry segment, starting her career as a Field Engineer in Asia and working across multiple countries. During her time in the oil and gas industry, she has led both US and international teams in operations, sales, and business development. Hema has a Master of Engineering in Electric Power from University of New South Wales, Australia.
