Senior Director Technology, Corporate Development

Bill is Sr. Director Technology, Corporate Development for The Chemours Company in Wilmington, DE.  He is accountable for leading strategic projects to develop a U.S. clean hydrogen ecosystem through collaboration with corporate, state, and federal stakeholders. He leads the hydrogen hub activities for Chemours and oversees the company’s participation as a partner in the Appalachian Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub (ARCH2). Previously, he served as Sr. Director Technology (CTO) leading the R&D, product development, and manufacturing technology organizations of the global titanium dioxide (TiO2) pigment business.    He also served as Director Engineering Technology at Chemours, where he was accountable for leading the company’s leveraged engineering competencies in support of manufacturing operations, large capital growth projects, sustainability, and process safety.

Bill has over 35 years of experience with DuPont and Chemours in R&D and manufacturing technology management, as well as assignments in corporate risk management and trade secret protection. He was a member of the Chemours team to execute the separation and formation of the company in 2015. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and previously served on the AIChE Board of Directors. He graduated with a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University and received his M.S.C.E.P and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
