Luca Zanotti is President, USA, at Tenaris where he is responsible for the company’s welded and seamless operations in the US. As of January 2020 Tenaris’s US presence has expanded in the midwest and northern portion of the country through the acquisition of IPSCO Tubulars. Zanotti also oversees the company’s first greenfield seamless plant in Bay City, Texas, which started operations in late 2017, as well as leads the implementation of a new commercial strategy to streamline the supply chain, known as Rig Direct®. He previously served as the President and CEO of Dalmine S.p.A., having assumed these responsibilities in 2011. Zanotti also served as the Vice President of the Federation of Italian Steel Companies, Federacciai, from 2011-2015. From 2007 to 2010, he served as the Managing Director of Exiros, the procurement company for the Techint Group, the parent company of Tenaris. Mr. Zanotti joined Exiros in 2002 as Planning and Administration Director and was later promoted to Raw Materials Purchasing Director. He was a Senior Project Manager at A.T. Kearney in Milan, where he worked from 1997 to 2002, and prior to that, he held various business development positions at Lovato Electric in Asia Pacific. Born in Bergamo in 1967, Mr. Zanotti graduated from the Politecnico di Milano with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He later obtained his MBA from the SDA Bocconi Business School (Milan). Zanotti is chairman of the US OCTG Manufacturers Association and serves on the board of directors for the American Iron and Steel Institute and Steel Manufacturers Association.
