Lithium Global Business Manager

Patrick Howarth is Lithium Global Business Manager, ExxonMobil Low Carbon Solutions. In this role, Patrick is leading a global business focused on leveraging ExxonMobil’s leading capabilities to develop lower-emission lithium projects. He assumed this role in July 2022. Prior to his current position, Patrick spent 3 years leading an upstream M&A team and developing new corporate strategy initiatives. Patrick joined ExxonMobil in 2005 as a trader of natural gas in London after receiving his Master of Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester. In 2007 he moved to Houston to focus on midstream business development activities across the US gulf coast. Between 2010 and 2019 he led multiple teams focused on evaluating and entering upstream resource opportunities across Europe, Russia, and Africa, during this time he oversaw ExxonMobil’s entry into numerous countries.
