Global Utilities Strategy Lead

Miguel leads Accenture's Global Utilities Strategy practice. His areas of expertise include value chain commercial optimisation, trading and risk management, digital and AI strategy, corporate and organisational transformation.  He is the Generative AI Lead for our Utilities clients, responsible for Accenture’s perspective on the use of AI and Gen AI across the Utilities value chain, and has presented to more than 20 boards in the past 6 months. Miguel has more than 20 years of experience working across the Commodities industry, including Utilities, Oil and Gas, Metals and Mining and Agriculture. He has worked extensively across North America, Europe, Middle East and Southeast Asia.  His experience across multiple industries and geographies gives him a unique view of the challenges we face with the Energy Transition.

 

Miguel is a fellow of the World Economic Forum, where he works with the Centre for Energy and Materials, with a focus on topics ranging from Accelerating Clean Power Electricity, Industrial Decarbonisation and Accelerating Financing for the Energy Transition. He publishes frequently in several topics related with the Energy Transition.

 

Miguel holds a M.Sc. in Physics and a Ph.D. in Engineering.
