The Honorable Lisa Epifani is the Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy at X, The Moonshot Factory (formerly known as GoogleX). Over the past 20 years, her work in the public and private sectors has focused on energy policy, sustainability, and emerging technology. At X, Lisa develops and drives policy strategy to support X’s projects that pioneer breakthrough technologies to help solve the world’s hardest problems. Before X, she was a General Manager at Chevron leading Sustainability and ESG Engagement. During her time in D.C., the Senate unanimously confirmed Lisa as the Department of Energy’s Assistant Secretary of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs. She also served as Special Assistant to President George W. Bush at the National Economic Council. As Counsel to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, Lisa negotiated key provisions of the Energy Policy Act of 2005. Lisa was also a Partner at Van Ness Feldman, a distinguished law firm known for its expertise in energy, environmental, and regulatory law. Lisa is a graduate of the University of Texas and Yale Law School.
