Head of AltView, Crude & Refined Products

Shin Kim is head of S&P Global Commodities Insights AltView, an independent, stand-alone, second forecast view for crude oil and refined products for SPGCI. She was formerly head of the global supply and production team at S&P Global Platts Analytics, where she also co-led short term oil supply forecasts and balances, oversaw long term balances, and managed the World Oil Supply Data Portal. Shin has more than 15 years of experience in oil markets. She joined S&P Global in 2016 from PIRA Energy Group. Prior to that, she worked in global commodities strategy focusing on fundamental energy analysis at Merrill Lynch / Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and oil and gas equity research covering Integrated Oils and Refiners. She holds a B.A. in political science and economics from Swarthmore College.
