Shankar heads the EssentialTech & Innovation team at S&P Global and is responsible for establishing the vision, strategy and impact measures for the company's technology capability development and enable innovation at scale. Shankar and his team identify emerging technologies that are critical to S&P's Future of work and incubate technologies by providing platforms for experimentation and innovation. In addition to this, Shankar also works closely with the Chief AI Officer for the company to help integrate AI into our technology & data fabric that delivers Essential Intelligence & insights to the customers. Shankar is the Executive Sponsor for the Digital Technology track at the S&P Global Research Council and helps create & publish cross-divisional research on the impact of Digital Technology on the economy, enterprise and the individual. 

Shankar has 15+ years driving Digital Transformation across the financial services industry, including Cloud transformation, Data Engineering and AI. As a part of the S&P Global Research Council, Shankar has co-authored articles that were published in the company's flagship Look Forward Journal. He has deep interest in understanding the impact of digital technologies, especially AI, on one of the key imperatives of the future - Energy Transition and Sustainability.
