President & Chief Executive Officer of Denbury, Inc.

Effective November 2, 2023, Kathleen Ash has been named the President and Chief Executive Officer of Denbury Inc. Kathleen has been with ExxonMobil for more than 17 years. Throughout her extensive career she has held numerous senior management roles in the commercial, financial, and operational disciplines, spanning the breadth of the oil and gas value chain both domestically and internationally. In her prior leadership roles, Kathleen was responsible for all Upstream U.S. Conventional operations including assets in Alabama, Alaska, California, Louisiana, Texas, Wyoming, and the Gulf of Mexico. Additionally, as part of the Gulf of Mexico operations, she oversaw Member Company positions for the Marine Well Containment Company (MWCC). In addition to her leadership roles in operations, Kathleen has also managed safety and operations integrity implementation including, in 2015, owning all emergency response standards for ExxonMobil Development projects globally. Kathleen’s international assignments have focused primarily on Asia Pacific where she led commercial negotiations on behalf of ExxonMobil’s LNG business in Singapore, India, Japan and Indonesia. She has held membership chair positions advocating on behalf of the industry with associations such as, Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil & Gas Association (LMOGA) and the Western States Petroleum Association (WSPA). Additionally, Kathleen served on the board of directors for Aera Energy from 2020 through their 2022 sale to IKAV Energy Inc. Kathleen received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University where she has sat on the Student Advisory Board more than 10 years.
