Juan Felipe Bedoya is Porsche Colombia’s Managing Director since 2012, year in which the company was established as the official importer of the Volkswagen Group’s brands for the country, with a direct report to Porsche Holding Salzburg and leading a team of over 130 people.
He was born in Bogotá, Colombia, but raised in the city of Santiago de Cali. He is an economist of the Universidad de los Andes and a specialist in Business and International Relations of the same institution. Also, he completed the program Executive Excellence and Mobility of the Universidad of Vienna, in Austria, as well as the program Highline Leadership at the London Business School.
With over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, in 2020 the Colombian magazine La Nota Económica named him one of the businessmen of the year, acknowledging the measures he led regarding the wellbeing of the company’s employees during the pandemic.
Juan Felipe is an environmental activist. He is an active leader of opinion in the industry and an advocate for its decarbonization, as well as for an energetic transition that makes sense in Colombia.
Regarding this subject, he has been invited twice to the BloombergNEF Summit, in San Francisco, California. There, he has participated in interesting conversations about Sustainable Mobility, in addition to the more than 15 international relevant events where he has been invited to contribute about sustainable fuels in the past year.
Since March 2022, he has been part of the Board of Directors of the Anticorruption Institute in Colombia and is also a member of the Council at the Colombo-German Chamber of Commerce.
