Irlan Amir is the Geothermal Director at SLB New Energy, a position he assumed in March 2023, located in Houston, Texas. Prior to his current role and over the course of his 27-year career with SLB, Irlan held positions in the Well Construction Division as the Director of Well Construction Measurements, VP Marketing & Technology and Technology Manager of Drilling & Measurements, and also as Oilfield Services HSE Manager for Asia Pacific and Saudi Arabia. Earlier in his SLB career Irlan held numerous positions in the Wireline product line such as Region Manager for North America Offshore and Operations Manager positions in Saudi Arabia, China, and North America; as well as Training, Development & Staffing Manager for Europe and Africa. Irlan holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Institute Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia, and an MBA from the Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
