Hany Soliman, in his capacity as the Microsoft Americas Business Leader for Energy and Resources, is responsible for shaping and executing strategies to position Microsoft as a leading digital innovator for the energy industry. His team of industry experts collaborates closely with energy companies across Oil and Gas, Power and Utilities and Mining to enable their digital transformation, accelerate the energy transition and achieve sustainability goals. This is achieved by leveraging the extensive Microsoft partner ecosystem, engineering expertise, and the field resources dedicated to supporting energy organizations.
Hany has an extensive background at Microsoft, including his most recent role as the regional director for Business Applications in the West region, and previous positions in consulting services, solution design, strategic customer management, and business leadership. Before joining Microsoft, Hany ran the PeopleSoft/Oracle West Region Solution Centers and played a key role in creating and managing the Implementation Labs, which offered an accelerated and cost-effective approach to implementing business solutions for organizations.
Hany started his career in the energy industry as a field engineer for SLB (previously Schlumberger), where he held leadership positions across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, North and South America, managing field operations and global Oil and Gas data management programs. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA.
