Managing Director, Head of the Americas

Alejandro Perellón is Managing Director, Head of the Americas at Hy24 where he leads investment origination and transaction execution for Hy24’s opportunities in the Americas. Hy24 manages the world’s first and largest infrastructure fund to invest exclusively in the entire clean hydrogen value chain. The fund is active in all regions and has raised €2.0 billion in commitments from both leading industrial and financial companies such as Air Liquide, Airbus, AXA, Baker Hughes, Ballard, CDPQ, Chart Industries, JBIC, Nuveen, Plug Power, TotalEnergies, and VINCI Concessions, to name a few. Alejandro has 14 years of private equity, investment banking, and corporate development experience across the renewable energy and mining sectors. Prior to joining Hy24, he was part of the renewables group at NW Natural, where he worked on financial analysis and deal structuring for the Company’s renewable natural gas and hydrogen investments. He began his career at UBS Investment Bank where he provided M&A, Capital Markets, and Restructuring advisory services to clients in the Latin American region. Afterwards he joined Arias Resource Capital, a mining-focused private equity firm, where he spent 8 years as a member of the investment team. He then pivoted to focus on renewable energy as an independent consultant. Alejandro earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School where he majored in Finance and minored in Spanish.
