Vice President, Large Project Business Development for the Americas

Jeff Norman is Vice President of Large Project Business Development for the Americas at Air Products. He is responsible for leading the development of Air Products’ growing portfolio of large-scale low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia projects across the Americas.

Jeff has over 20 years of experience in developing and executing projects throughout the global energy sector, including leading P&Ls managing gas, wind and solar PV projects in North America and the Middle East. Early in his career, he worked in project management and eventually served as a Vice President with InfraSource/Quanta Services overseeing renewable energy EPC projects in North America. He also led the capital planning of new infrastructure and then led large multi-billion dollar project deals supporting Saudi Aramco. Prior to joining Air Products, Mr. Norman served as Head of Country for TotalEnergies Renewables International in Qatar where he was executing and developing large utility scale solar PV projects.

Jeff has completed graduate studies in engineering at the University of Illinois, finance and accounting at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

    Shipping with Hydrogen: Meeting IMO 2050 goals

    Ammonia and methanol low-carbon hydrogen carriers are promising bunker fuels for decarbonizing the shipping sector. Several challenges, including costs, scalability, safety and infrastructure development remain. Collaboration among industry stakeholders, governments and international organizations will be essential to overcome these challenges and realize the potential of hydrogen as a key solution for meeting the IMO 2050 goals.
