Principal Program Manager, Energy Industry

Conor Kelly works with Microsoft’s customers and partners driving software partnerships and innovation across the Power & Utilities industry, focused on the decarbonization of energy supply. Working alongside Microsoft’s Datacenter Carbon-Free Energy Procurement team—who have contracted 19GW of carbon-free energy globally to date— he helps Microsoft’s utility partners accelerate creating novel and profitable carbon-free energy supplies.  Key initiatives led by Conor include Microsoft’s global 24/7 Hourly Carbon-Free Energy engagements, and partnerships to accelerate the broad rollout of Advanced Nuclear generation. Conor holds a Computer Science degree from Trinity College Dublin, a research masters in datacentre energy management, and has spent 15 years across multiple divisions at Microsoft including the Azure core development team, Microsoft’s Cloud Platform, and Industry and Partner Solutions organization.
