How Do BECCS & BiCRS Measure up on Carbon Impact?

    Clean Tech

Biomass applications for energy production with CCS or as part of a carbon removal process offer significant potential for reaching net-zero goals. Yet both attract scrutiny due to their land use and carbon credentials, and they have yet to take off globally on a large scale. What are the technical issues behind this controversy? Which applications of BECCs and BiCRS can be most quickly implemented and at scale? Which regions offer the greatest potential for growth in the next few years?
