Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Paster completed his Master’s work and PhD in the fields of electrochemistry and applied physical chemistry techniques with PolyJoule co-founders Prof. Tim Swager and Prof. Ian Hunter at MIT, before joining PolyJoule full-time in 2014. Then a three-person company, Dr. Paster established PolyJoule’s first testing systems, database backend, and research tracks while overseeing scale-up from grams to 10’s of kg’s, before being elected PolyJoule’s CEO in 2018. Since then, Dr. Paster has grown the PolyJoule team from three individuals to 15+, transitioned the company from pre-revenue prototypes to multi-phase, multi-million-dollar contracts, brought on additional stakeholders, customers, strategic collaborations and investments. Dr. Paster speaks four languages, is the author of several US and international patents, and has published monographs in chemistry, engineering, biology, and literature.
