Craig is an experienced leader with a background in corporate management, structured finance and the energy and technology sectors. Prior to joining Vast in 2015, he worked in London, NewYork, Sydney and Perth and has held leadership roles in diverse industrial and manufacturing organisations including Browne’s Dairy, Archer Capital, and Lehman Brothers. Craig holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Western Australia and a MSc of Finance from the London Business School. He was also a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford.

    Vast | Back from the Dead: Why concentrated solar thermal is the hottest new renewable technology

    Modern refineries are a delicate chemical and energy balance that typically require a combination of heat and power. PV and wind are cheap, but their intermittent nature is problematic (and not economically solved by batteries), and heat from renewable power is expensive. Solar thermal delivers dispatchable renewable electricity and cheap green heat, potentially powering green fuels projects that deliver product at ~70% the cost of using renewable electricity alone.
