Brendan is a scientist and engineer with a background in aerospace, environmental science, and sensing. He has made systems that have been deployed on land, air, and space—from Antarctica to the moon. After appointments at the University of Hawaii and NASA Ames, he joined Skybox Imaging (acquired by Google) to run its space imaging systems group, lead Waymo's camera program, and most recently lead GM/Cruise's autonomous vehicle hardware programs before returning to New York City to start Thalo Labs. He holds a Ph.D. from Brown University and Masters degrees in engineering, mathematics, and geological sciences.
