Manager, Market Intelligence & Strategy - Energy Transition

Andrea Willwerth is an economist with over a decade of energy experience. She is passionate about energy systems and working towards the goal of decarbonizing power generation. Andrea is currently a Manager on the Market Intelligence & Strategy – Energy Transition team at Mitsubishi Power based in Lake Mary, Florida.  At Mitsubishi Power, Andrea’s focus is on both the hydrogen and carbon management value chains.

Previous to joining Mitsubishi Power in September 2023, Andrea worked at a green hydrogen development company – Fortescue Future Industries, as the Principal Market Analyst working on their North American strategy and supporting commercial efforts.

Andrea also worked on the Market Intelligence team at Kiewit and worked for almost a decade as an economist for a Canadian oil and gas regulatory body, the Alberta Energy Regulator.

Andrea has a Bachelor of Arts in Honour Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University and her Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accounting certificate from Mount Royal University.
