Richard Jackson is President of Oxy Low Carbon Ventures, LLC, our wholly owned subsidiary advancing leading-edge, low-carbon technologies and business solutions that economically grow our business while reducing emissions. Under his leadership, the group is investing in the development of low-carbon fuels and products, as well as sequestration services to support carbon capture projects globally. Mr. Jackson also oversees Occidental’s low-carbon strategy across our oil and gas, chemical and midstream businesses. With more than 20 years in the oil and gas industry, Richard has significant expertise in worldwide oil and gas project development, technology and business management. His previous roles include Senior Vice President, Operations Support, Vice President, Investor Relations, President and General Manager for Permian Resources–Delaware Basin, and Vice President of Drilling Americas. Richard serves on the Oil and Gas Climate Initiative’s Climate Investment Board and on the American Petroleum Institute’s Upstream Committee. He is also Occidental’s designated representative on the board of directors of Carbon Engineering, a direct air capture technology company. A graduate of Texas A&M University, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering.
