A CERAWeek Energy Innovation Pioneer, Mr. Cyrus is advancing the field of air quality monitoring around the Energy sector. Starting with experience developing a life-support system for NASA’s Deep Space Gateway, which is on display at Kennedy Space Center, Mr. Cyrus brought the technology down to Earth and helped the City and County of Denver win the Bloomberg Mayor’s Challenge focus on Air Quality at elementary schools. The Canary Air Quality Monitoring System was quickly implemented into a variety of other industries, including Oil and Gas where it provided a real-time, localized, cost-effective advancement to the labor-intensive single-point alternatives. Mr. Justin Cyrus is the CEO of Lunar Outpost Inc, a HUB-Zone certified small business incorporated in 2017. Mr. Cyrus has led multiple other programs for Lunar Outpost, including advanced instrumentation contracts for the United States Air Force, and continues to drive the company through solid business development practices, formation of strategic partnerships, and leading cost effective, innovative R&D. Mr. Cyrus holds a M.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of Colorado at Boulder. Mr. Cyrus also hold certifications in executive management and electrical engineering.

Real-time, continuous leak-detection and monitoring of pollutants, such as total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs), methane, particulate matter, and others, paired with meteorological parameters and the ability to automatically trigger Summa canisters provides operators with actionable data that can be used to immediately react to off-nominal operations. This proven system provides quality data at a price point lower than other technologies, while maintaining the flexibility needed to address user priorities.
