Senior Director, Low Carbon Ventures

Tony Cottone is Senior Director of Strategic Development for Occidental Petroleum Corporation’s Low Carbon Ventures group (OLCV).

Mr. Cottone was appointed to his current role in June 2018 becoming a key member of the Low Carbon Ventures leadership team.  In his new role, he is responsible for strategy development and implementation, opportunity and venture investment evaluation, and project finance and capital raising. 

Previously, Mr. Cottone was Sr. Director of Investor Relations acting as a key company spokesperson to the investment community.  He was responsible for communicating Oxy’s business strategy, financial objectives and unique value proposition to internal and external stakeholders. 

Mr. Cottone has over 13 years of industry experience and originally joined Oxy in 2012.  Prior to joining Oxy, he held various financial roles, including positions in Investment Banking and Equity Research at Macquarie Group and Financial and Market Analysis at Express Energy Services.

Mr. Cottone has extensive and diverse experience in strategy, corporate finance, and investor relations. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Emory University and an MBA from Columbia University.
