Roger Lin

Board Director

Roger Lin is a recognized expert and key contributor to the energy storage industry and has over 15 years experience in energy storage spanning portable, transportation, and stationary sectors. With a cross-functional background in technology, markets, and applications, he has held vice president and leadership roles in product management, technology development, markets and policy, and marketing communications at energy storage technology companies including LS Energy Solutions, NEC Energy Solutions, and A123 Systems. In addition, Roger is currently serving as a member of the board of directors at the ESA, the premier US industry association for stationary energy storage, and was a former board member at the California Energy Storage Alliance. He has a personal commitment to safety and served on the NFPA 855 standard development committee, helping to release the first edition of a comprehensive stationary energy storage standard in late 2019, and has been a member of safety standard committees in the transportation sector as well. Roger has a Master of Engineering degree in materials science from MIT and a Bachelor of Science degree in ceramic engineering from Rutgers University, and is an inventor on ten United States patents.
