Chris Holmes, Managing Director, Research & Consulting, GPR EMEA & APAC, IHS Markit, has extensive international oil and gas industry experience, having carried out major oil, natural gas, and NGL studies for clients in Europe, the Former Soviet Union, North and West Africa, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. He previously held the position of Vice President with Purvin & Gertz, Inc., which he joined in 1999. In 2011 Purvin & Gertz Inc. was acquired by IHS, which later became IHS Markit. Previously, he was a Senior Consultant with Gaffney, Cline & Associates (GCA). During his 10 years with GCA, Mr. Holmes was based in both the United Kingdom and Singapore offices. Before his GCA post, he was with Amoco for several years, initially as a Process Engineer at its Milford Haven refinery and later as a Product Trader. Mr. Holmes holds a BSc from the University of Birmingham.
