Engr. Saidu A. Mohammed is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Gas & Power Directorate of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). He is a graduate of Chemical Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.

In his over 35 years practice in the industry, he has contributed immensely to the development of the Nigerian oil and gas value chain. Prior to his current position, he served as the Managing Director of Nigerian Gas Company (NGC) Limited; responsible for the processing, transportation and marketing of natural gas in Nigeria. He was also the Managing Director of 110,000 barrels/day refinery in Kaduna, Nigeria.

He currently serves as a director in several companies including Nigeria LNG Limited, West African Gas Pipeline Limited and other affiliate companies of NNPC.

He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSChE) and the current Vice President of the Society. He also served as the President of the Nigerian Gas Association (NGA) in 2012.
