Kathy Benini

Managing Director, Pricing & Valuation & Reference Data

Kathy Benini is a Managing Director at IHS Markit and is the Global Head of Environmental Products. She joined Markit in 2009 and has been responsible for the development and growth of IHS Markit’s environmental businesses. She currently sits on the board and serves as President of the Women’s Energy Network Greater New York City Chapter. Ms. Benini joined from Goldman Sachs where she was Vice President of Commodity Operations including global responsibility for logistics covering electricity, oil, gas, emissions, and renewable energy. Ms. Benini served as the senior representative from Goldman for many of the various US electricity grids (including PJM, NEPOOL, and NYISO) and also served as Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Leadership for Energy Automated Processing and as a member of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association Commodities Working Group. Ms. Benini holds a degree in economics from Eisenhower College of Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA from Columbia University.
