Rashika Gupta

Dr. Rashika Gupta, Director, S&P Global, is part of Gas, Power and Climate Solutions Division of Commodity Insights and leads the South Asia Power & Renewables team.  Dr. Gupta has about seventeen years of experience in energy markets and her core competencies include market analysis (power and fuels), power market modeling, asset valuations, power contract structuring, pricing and risk assessment, hydro asset optimization and sales strategies, forecasting and scheduling of renewables (wind and solar), regulatory and commercial analysis, and power trading (electricity derivatives). Prior to joining S&P Global, she spent five years with Statkraft Markets as a senior manager, where she held various roles with responsibilities including power market analysis, commercial assessment, trading portfolio optimization, and balancing. Dr. Gupta also worked as a senior consultant with ICF International, where she was involved in consulting projects related to analysis of power and fuel markets, policy, regulations, environmental impacts, and strategy formulation for various energy sector stakeholders. Ms. Gupta holds a BA (Hons) from Kirori Mal College, an MA from Hansraj College, and a PhD from Delhi University. She was also awarded with the college Gold Medal and Certificate of Merit in 2001 for her MA.
