Adrian Katzew, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Zuma, is an global leader in the renewable energy industry. He is a passionate entrepreneur, committed to opening new markets, setting up ambitious projects, and finding innovative ways to guarantee banking conditions for wind and solar projects around the world. Mr. Katzew began his career at Banco Santander in Spain, ultimately becoming the Global Leader of the Energy Project and Acquisitions Finance group at the bank. He later led reference energy projects at Vestas for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, such as the first financing of a concentrating solar plant (CSP) in the United States (Nevada Solar One), and the construction of the first wind farms in Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico. As Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Zuma, Mr. Katzew transformed a start-up company into the leading Mexican independent power producer of renewable energy. With the support of a highly experienced team, he has taken a800 MW wind and solar portfolio from the development stage to construction in only two years. Mr. Katzew has led breakthrough initiatives to promote high-level technical discussions to solve implementation problems in the power sector and toward increasing adoption of renewable energy in Mexico.
