Reality strikes when you realize you do need some kind of chemical vector to decarbonize [heavy-emitting] sectors. That realization of the time needed to electrify other sectors and scale up the renewable industry to meet the demand in all those sectors – that’s when people start looking at the numbers and understanding we need something like hydrogen or methane or other synthetic uses of renewable electricity, which I think is what's happening."
