With experience in air emissions measurement and verification, Mr. Wekler joined the Anew Climate team in 2012. After managing regulatory compliance of a high-Btu biogas anaerobic digestion facility, he continued to take on a leading role in the development of proprietary quality assurance and verification platforms for environmental credits under federal and state level emissions trading programs. His experience includes portfolio management, verification and regulatory compliance of renewable energy projects under several carbon offsetting protocols, the federal Renewable Fuel Standard, Low Carbon Fuel Standard and the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (or ISCC). After transitioning into a business development role, Mr. Wekler pioneered several novel value chains in the renewable gas industry, including the first-ever US delivery of renewable LNG bunkering fuel, decarbonization of hydrogen fuel production and various international gas to liquids export paths. His purview includes structured Climate Service as a Solution products which marry several commodities for the creation of comprehensive decarbonization vehicles. In his current role of leading the Anew Ideas team - an idea incubator group focused on high-impact business development - Mr. Wekler continues to apply his specialized expertise to identify and build out decarbonization platforms which span Anew deep portfolio of low-carbon gasses, natural, agricultural and technical climate solutions, renewable electricity and emissions trading. Mr. Wekler holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Management, with a specialization in Environmental Management; as well as a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
