Don Nguyen is responsible for leading FirstLight Power's origination acitivties which includes commercial optimization, execution of structured offtake and power purchase agreements for a portfolio of over 1.4 GW of hydro, solar, and storage assets in the U.S. and Canada. Don has over a dozen years of experience in the renewable energy industry in trading, origination and business development roles. Before joining FirstLight, Don was a Director, PPA & Structured Origination at RWE Renewables where he was responsible for managing the offtake strategy for onshore wind, solar, storage, and offshore wind assets in the U.S. and Canada. Specifically, the ISO-NE, PJM, NYISO, and AESO markets. Don attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, holds a degree in economics from The University of Texas at Austin, and is a CFA charterholder.
