Dr. Charles-Henri Clerget is co-founder and COO of Amplified Industries. Amplified Industries is a start-up out of MIT founded in 2019 and based in Boston, MA. It gathers a team of scientists, engineers and business people sharing a simple vision: building the next generation of industrial systems that will automate and optimize processes at scale. The company focuses on the upstream oil and gas sector and builds connected devices and data system to eliminate spills and optimize production. Amplified Industries is funded by top venture capital firms and family offices, and supported by federal government organizations such as the NSF.
Dr. Clerget graduated with a MS & Ph.D in Mathematics and Control from Ecole des Mines de Paris. His doctoral research was carried in partnership with TotalEnergies and focused on the dynamic optimization of refining processes. He also completed post-doctoral research work in mathematics at MIT in partnership with Equinor on the monitoring of drilling operations in depleted reservoirs. Dr. Clerget was awared the Young Author Award of the International Federation of Automatic Control in 2018 and was nominated by Forbes in its 2020 list of the 30 under 30 in Energy.
