Prof. Shan Weiguo, is Chief Academician and head of Oil & Gas Market Research at CNPC Economics and Technology Research Institute (ETRI). He was also entitled as a market expert by CNPC and now also working as chief editor of Vehicle Energy Gazette (VE), a guest commentator for Xinhua News Agency, and a tutor for post PhD students in China Petroleum University(Peking). With 30 years of industry expertise, Mr. Shan has been involved in dozens of research programs on oil & gas market, oil & gas contract pricing, petroleum fiscal terms, project financing, NOC-IOC corporate strategy, energy policy, energy security and international energy governance. Mr Shan is an author of wide-ranging professional articles and is frequently requested to have peer review on related reports by energy think-tank's and international energy organizations. Mr. Shan is often invited to lectures in university classes and professional workshops (symposiums or forums), and interviewed by news media and consulted by the energy-related industries and financial institutions domestic and abroad. Mr Shan, graduated from International Relation School of Peking University (Beida), with LLM (Master of law) in International Politics and International Organizations, and once studied or worked as a visiting scholar in Dundee University (CPMLLP, UK), University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO, USA) and International Energy Forum (IEF) at Riyadh, KSA.
