Sue Lena Thompson, Producer, Special Programs, CERAWeek by S&P Global, is a member of the CERAWeek Leadership Team. Sue Lena has worked closely with Daniel Yergin since joining the original CERA team in Cambridge, MA, and has led a number of highly visible public-facing projects, including: Associate Producer of the 8-hour television series, The Prize, aired on PBS national carriage. Along with overseeing the production she also spearheaded and built the creative teams for the marketing, publicity, product development and touring exhibition related to the Pultzer Prize winning work. Sue Lena was the Executive Producer of the PBS television series Commanding Heights, based on Daniel Yergin and Joseph Stanislaw’s book. She managed international video crews, leveraging her deep knowledge and relationships to secure top-level interviews with heads of state C-suite executives, and policy makers around the globe. Sue Lena brings a wealth of creative management and development experience, along with in-depth programming expertise in the energy sphere. Ms. Thompson has always been focused on promoting diversity and inclusion, women’s advancement, and developing future talent in the energy industry. Her most recent accomplishments have taken the form of Special Programs at CERAWeek. She holds a BA from the University of Texas.
