Raffi Garabedian is co-founder and CEO of Electric Hydrogen, a company dedicated to pushing the limits of large-scale, low-cost electrolysis systems for fossil-parity green hydrogen production. Prior to Electric Hydrogen and since May 2012, Raffi served as chief technology officer of First Solar, Inc. Mr. Garabedian initially joined First Solar in June 2008 as director of disruptive technologies. Before First Solar, Raffi spent over 15 years as a serial entrepreneur in the semiconductor industry, developing new products ranging from automotive engine control sensors to fiber optic telecommunications systems. He was the founding CEO of Touchdown Technologies, Inc., acquired by Verigy, as well as Micromachines Inc., acquired by Kavlico. Raffi serves or has served on the boards of several companies including ESS Inc. and Covalent Metrologies. He earned a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Davis.
