Pat Vincent-Collawn is Chairman and CEO of PNM Resources (NYSE:PNM), the parent company for utilities PNM in New Mexico and TNMP in Texas. Vincent-Collawn joined PNM Resources in 2007, serving as Utilities President. In 2008, she was named President and Chief Operating Officer, and in March 2010 became President and CEO of PNM Resources. The Board elected her Chairman in January 2012. Vincent-Collawn is a recognized leader in clean energy in the utility industry. In 2019, PNM was the first investor-owned utility to set a goal to be carbon free by 2040, the most aggressive commitment made by a utility. Before joining PNM Resources, Vincent-Collawn was at Xcel Energy where she was President and CEO of Public Service Company of Colorado. Prior to that, as Xcel’s President of Customer and Field Operations, she oversaw transmission and distribution operations as well as customer service across ten states. Vincent-Collawn also held management positions with Arizona Public Service, Price Waterhouse and Quaker Oats. Pat served as the first female chair of the Edison Electric Institute (EEI). She twice chaired the Board of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). Pat is a Vice Chair of the World Energy Council, representing North America. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Cheniere Energy and NEIL (Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited), where she is Board Chair. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism (magna cum laude) from Drake University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

    Forging Climate Solutions: How to accelerate action across America

    As the United States becomes even more politically polarized, what happens to climate policy? This panel will consider the key findings from a large, bipartisan consensus report Forging Climate Solutions: How to Accelerate Action Across America by the Commission on Accelerating Climate Action of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. The report, which reflects views from the arts and sciences, faith communities, environmental justice, youth activism, indigenous communities and public health, outlines a strategy for building and enhancing action on climate change even as American politics grow more fractious. Central to this action is a fair bargain to deploy green infrastructure equitably. How can siting and investment in infrastructure be improved? How can needed funding for innovation and deployment of new technologies be sustained?
