Clean hydrogen—produced from renewable energy and water—holds the potential to play an integral role in achieving net-zero. Such a clean hydrogen economy enables Sector Coupling, the means by which hard-to-abate industries can achieve decarbonization, and global sources of lower cost renewable energy, produced in concentrated geographies, can be utilized in other locations through the conversion to e-fuels or clean feedstocks.
This decade will see an inflection point in the size of green hydrogen production. What are the drivers for scaling electrolyzers? What will drive down costs?
