Ang John Wei is the Head of Project Management of the Future (PMoF). PMoF is to deliver transformative and progressive improvements of project delivery practices, creating value at pace via agile executions. Established to build a resilient future in the competitive space of project management delivery, towards achieving PETRONAS’ aspiration of moving forward together 50:30:0. John has 6 years of experience as Portfolio Analyst in Downstream Business Strategic Planning & Portfolio, high-grading overall PETRONAS Downstream portfolio. Seconded to project RAPID for 2 years to perform financial modelling for Pengerang Integrated Complex project financing and final investment decision in collaboration with international bankers. He spent 1 year in the EVP & CEO Downstream as the pioneer initiating the Downstream Digital Transformation and setting up the Downstream Digital Disruptor unit to drive the transformation and innovation. John also spent 4 years in Group Digital as part of the pioneer team in PETRONAS driving the digital transformation agenda at the enterprise to build a data driven organization and introducing digital new ways of working to create new value. He was also part of the Portfolio Intervention and Transition team at President’s Office and Corporate Strategy, a special taskforce that was formed to provide an independent, unencumbered and fresh perspective to the Group’s efforts towards pivoting its portfolio in ensuring long-term business sustainability: delivering superior performance with earnings stability and resilience, whilst meeting the sustainability agenda and contributing positively to the society.
