Head of Europe Petrochemical Feedstocks

Hédi Grati, based in London, leads the petrochemical feedstocks research for Europe, Eurasia and Africa at S&P Global Commodity Insights, bringing together data and expertise across crude oil markets, NGLs, refining, olefins and aromatics. Further to that, he specializes in the future of European refining in a decarbonizing world. He joined the legacy Purvin & Gertz downstream consulting team - acquired by IHS, now part of S&P Global - in 2014, where he carried out numerous tailored assignments for oil companies, traders, logistics providers and financial institutions. He also headed two landmark multiclient studies on the future of shipping and marine energy; Navigating Choppy Waters and Reinventing the Ship. Most recently, Mr. Grati managed the Fuels and Refining team for the Europe/Eurasia region, responsible for short- and long-term forecasting of supply, demand, trade, prices and margins. Before joining S&P Global, Mr. Grati worked for Exxon Mobil Corp., where he held various technical, operational, economic and supervisory roles at two of ExxonMobil's refineries and its European headquarters. He holds a Master of Science in civil engineering from Ghent University, Belgium, and an Executive MBA from Antwerp Management School, Belgium. He is a native Dutch speaker and fluent in English and French.
