Vice President, ESG and EHS

Garrett Jackson is Vice President of ESG & EHS at Devon Energy. He began this role after Devon merged with WPX Energy in January 2021, and is currently responsible for leading the company’s strategy and performance for environmental, health, safety, social and governance initiatives. Jackson joined Devon in 2006 as a drilling engineer, and has held various engineering and leadership positions including Vice President of Operations, responsible for all U.S. drilling, completions, facilities and well construction technology teams. Before joining Devon, Jackson worked as a project engineer for ExxonMobil in Houston where he worked on projects throughout the state as well as taking additional assignments in Africa and Russia. Jackson serves on the Board of Directors for the Arts Council of Oklahoma City, and on the Board of Trustees for Science Museum Oklahoma. He is also a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Jackson attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2002.
