Mr. Dong Kwan (DK) Kim serves as Vice Chairman for Hanwha group, a Fortune Global 500 company, and Chief Executive Officer of the strategy division at Hanwha Corporation, Hanwha Solutions and Hanwha Aerospace. In this role, he is responsible for the company’s overarching strategy, financial objectives, innovative portfolio, investment priorities, and digital transformation efforts to drive new growth. Through transformational initiatives across the group’s portfolio to address disruption and create agile operation, Hanwha’s business and geographical footprint has dramatically expanded under his leadership. He is leading robust investments in key business areas which include Hanwha Solutions’ recent investment of more than $2.5 billion to build a complete solar supply chain in the United States. This marks the largest investment in the history of American solar. Energy transformation, advanced energy solutions and aerospace are key domains currently highlighted as key businesses within the group’s portfolio. He was selected as a Young Global Leader(YGL) in 2013, which was bestowed by the World Economic Forum to recognize future leaders who are equipped to take responsibility for creating a more sustainable and inclusive world, demonstrating outstanding achievements and leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Harvard University.
