Managing Director, Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship

Brad Burke, Managing Director, Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship, is responsible for leading the nationally recognized Rice Alliance in its mission to support entrepreneurship education, technology commercialization, and the launch of early stage technology companies in the Houston and Texas region. The Rice Alliance is Rice University’s flagship entrepreneurship initiative launched in 2000. Mr. Burke became its Director in 2001. The Rice Alliance has been ranked by the Princeton Review among the top ten US entrepreneurship programs for 10 straight years. Previously, Mr. Burke founded and managed the Houston office of Viant Corporation, an internet consulting firm. Earlier in his career, he was a Principal with CSC Index, the former management consulting division of Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). Prior to working with CSC, he held executive management positions with Exxon. Mr. Burke holds a BS from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management as an Austin scholar.
