Business Development Manager

Ayça Arınan is the Business Development Manager in Tupras Head Office, İstanbul. Tüpras is the largest refining company in Turkey with a total 30 Mton/year of crude oil processing capacity in four refineries located at different regions of Turkey. Mrs. Arinan joined the Tupras in 2010 and since then she has been working in Tupras for 12 years. She has experience and knowledge in energy sector including energy transition, M&A, oil and gas, biofuels, green hydrogen, renewable energy, petrochemicals, production technologies, technology benchmarking, catalysts, market dynamics, product management, strategy development and financial modelling. She has started her professional carrier as Process and R&D Engineer in İzmir Refinery. After a year, she has been assigned to Tüpraş Head Office as Process Development Supervisor and then continued her carrier as Business & Product Development Coordinator. Over the past 9 years she had strategic roles in various technical&investment projects including benchmark studies between the process groups at different refineries, deep evaluation of the strategic and business development projects’ feasibility studies covering all the stages such as technology selection, preparation and evaluation of BEDP proposals. Also she led the strategy studies with consultant companies. In 2019 she has started working as Business Development Manager at Strategy&Sustainability Department and lead Tüpraş Long Term (2050) Strategic Transition Plan by coaching 60+ employee under strategy tribe from 10+ different departments and design the sustainability roadmap of Tüpraş to achieve carbon neutral target in 2050. Currently she has also assigned as Head of Biofuels Business. From 2008 to 2010, she worked as Teaching Assistant at Middle East Technical University, Turkey – Chemical Engineering Department. Mrs. Arinan has a B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree on Chemical Engineering of the Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey.
