Arne Ballantine is the CEO and Co-Founder of Ohmium International. Ohmium is making green hydrogen a reality today through the creation of PEM Electrolyzer Technology that converts renewable energy into emission-free hydrogen. Arne has 20 years of experience commercializing hydrogen and power generation technologies with PEM and Solid Oxide Cell Technologies. Before Ohmium, Arne was VP of Systems Engineering at Bloom Energy where he spent 15 years leading the design and operation of the Bloom SOFC energy server.
Arne spent 5 years as the Program Manager and Joint Lead of Engineering for three generations of Honda-Plug Power Home Energy Station FC vehicle hydrogen refuelers. At IBM, Arne was a Lead Engineer in Rapid Thermal Processing. Through his experience in the semiconductor and hydrogen industries, Arne has earned 172 issued US patents. Arne served as a US Navy Nuclear Submarine Officer, where he earned his Nuclear Engineer Certification, Engineering, Submarines. Arne has a degree in Physics and Computer Science from Harvey Mudd college. He served as the City Energy Utility Commissioner at Palo Alto, California, a Board Member in the ECE Department at Rutgers University, and as an ASME Clean Energy Technology Advisory Panel Member.
