Chief People Officer

Ronnie West is executive vice president and CPO at IHS Markit. He was appointed Chief People Officer in August 2018 and is responsible for the company's human resources function. Ronnie previously served as Chief People Officer at Ipreo, a leading financial services solutions and data provider that was acquired by IHS Markit in 2018 from private equity funds managed by Blackstone and Goldman Sachs Merchant Banking Division. Ronnie spent his formative years at Unilever and Barclays, where he interacted with multiple brands and business models, and focused heavily on people as a strategy that delivered aggressive growth. He is now deploying this thinking at IHS Markit. Ronnie has held several senior positions across Europe, Asia and North America, and has more than 20 years of Human Resource experience. Ronnie holds a BSc (Hons) from Leicester University and a post graduate diploma in Human Resource Management.
