Paddy Padmanathan, President & CEO of ACWA Power, is a professional Civil Engineer with 39 years of experience. He has served ACWA Power since 2005 as the company grew from a start up to a leading private developer, owner, and operator of 29+ GW of power and 2.9 million m3/day of desalinated water production plants in 11 countries. Focused on reliably delivering electricity and desalinated water at the lowest possible cost responding to customer’s preferences on technology and fuel, ACWA Power owns and operates some of the largest oil, gas, and coal-fired power plants. ACWA Power is also developing some of the largest CSP and PV solar power plants and continues to be at the forefront in reducing the cost of renewable energy on a global scale and in promoting localization of technology and industrialization of the emerging economies, where it also invests and implements such investments. Mr. Padmanathan serves on the Board of Directors of several companies, all serving the water and power sectors, and on the Board of BESIX.
