Executive Vice President and CEO Upstream

Anuar Taib is the Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Upstream in PETRONAS. Mr. Taib joined the industry in 1990 with an international oil and gas company and has served in various technical, commercial, and leadership roles prior to joining PETRONAS in July 2012. Mr. Taib is a member of the PETRONAS Executive Leadership Team, responsible for domestic regulatory function, exploration, development & production, LNG liquefaction, and LNG and natural gas marketing & trading. Mr. Taib also serves as Chairman of the Board of PETRONAS Gas Berhad, PETRONAS LNG Sdn Bhd, MLNG Group of Companies, PETRONAS Energy Canada Ltd., Pacific NorthWest LNG Ltd., and various other PETRONAS Boards of subsidiaries and Joint Venture Companies. He is also the Chairman of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Asia Pacific Advisory Council Member, Master of Analytical Chemistry Programme for University Putra Malaysia.
