Keith King is a Senior Advisor with the North America Plays and Basins team at IHS Markit. He focuses on resource estimates, supply, and commerciality. Additionally, he analyzes global exploration and production trends, thus contributing to the Upstream Thought Leadership initiative, and to international plays and basins efforts. A former Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy, Mr. King was a petroleum geologist with ExxonMobil for 35 years, with exploration and management assignments in North Sea, Africa, and Middle East. His last 11 years with ExxonMobil focused on resource estimation, field growth, supply, and investments in global E&P. He joined IHS Markit after several years with a small boutique consulting firm. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from University of South Florida and a Master in Science degree from Florida State University.
